My fitness journey began when I was quite young. Upon getting my first set of weights when I was 14 and I was instantly hooked. However little knowledge, no guidance, a poor diet and inconsistent training didn’t give me much results.
I can safely say I made every mistake possible along the way but I can confidently say I have learned and grown from every single one of them. Although I dabbled with spells of on and off training between 14-20 I stopped training altogether for the best part of two years. Things went downhill quickly, I picked up every bad habit under the sun and quickly became very unhappy with life and my image. It wasn’t until January 2017 that I got back into the gym. At the start I had to drag myself there unwillingly 2-3 days a week, then it got a little easier and it became a hobby. That hobby quickly transpired to be my passion.
I decided to turn that passion into a career. I had been a teacher for four years previous to this but decided to get my level 3 certificate in Personal Training. It was an easy change to make- rather than teaching a group of students that didn’t respect me about a subject I didn’t love I began teaching adults who did respect what I had to say about how to become a fitter healthier happier version of themselves.
The gym changed my life. Like many before me I saw not only the physical benefits but the mental benefits it gave with every bead of sweat.
I now want to share my passion with others in the hopes that it can be that life changing move for them, just as it was for me.
